Scepticism as method

Scepticism is not about being sceptical about everything and everyone. It is admission that human are fallible and that we should therefore be aware that we make mistakes ourselves, and that others may be right. This is the essence of humanism which stems from the Greeks.  It is the essence of philosophy, reservation of judgement without sufficient evidence…. and even then the ability to review the case again.

Scepticism is the sole intellectual motor of progress towards greater and more securely founded knowledge and away from prejudices and traditional dogmas.

This an agenda to which this blog adheres.
